nvq level 2 in providing aviation operations on the ground

Mandatory Units

The NVQ consists of the following 2 mandatory units:

  • Recognise airside hazards and minimise risks
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Aviation Health, Safety and Security

Optional Units

And any 5 from the following optional units, including at least 2 units from the Specialist Aviation Units:

Specialist Aviation Units

  • Carry out airside maintenance operations
  • Prepare baggage for and receive baggage from aircraft
  • Check in aviation passengers and baggage
  • Receive, call and escort passengers to aircraft
  • Handle reports of lost or damaged baggage
  • Maintain the comfort of passengers using the Executive Lounge
  • Provide ticket desk services
