nvq level 3 in co-ordinating aviation operations on the ground

Mandatory Units

The NVQ consists of the following 3 mandatory units:

  • Recognise airside hazards and minimise risks
  • Contribute to the maintenance of Aviation Health, Safety and Security
  • Contribute to the maintenance, implementation and co-ordination of aviation security procedures

Optional Units

And any 6 from the following optional units including at least 2 units from the Special Aviation Units:

  • Co-ordinate health and safety working practices
  • Ensure the safe movement and operation of aircraft, vehicles and personnel on the apron
  • Maintain effective aviation communication and information transfer
