Mandatory Units

The NVQ consists of the following 5 mandatory units:

Deal with Exercise and Emergencies
Evaluate and Develop Own Practice in Instructing Exercise and Fitness
Motivate and Support Clients to Develop and Maintain their Fitness
Plan and Prepare a Gym-Based Exercise Session
Instruct a Gym-Based Exercise Session

The NVQ requirements are covered by attending one of our CYQ Gym Instructor courses which run at different locations during the year or one to one basis. This qualification is included in the Apprenticeship package.

Fast Track CYQ Gym Instructor Qualfication

Alternatively if the full Apprenticeship framework is not suitable, a 16 day course covering theory and practical elements leading to a REPs recognised CYQ Gym Instructor qualfication is available separately for £495 per individual.
