Mandatory Units

The NVQ consists of the following 5 mandatory units:

• Manage your own resources and professional development
• Provide leadership in your area of responsibility
• Ensure the health, safety, welfare and security of customers and staff
• Work with Others to Improve Customer Service

Optional Units

And any 5 of the following optional units:

• Control Practices for Handling Payments

• Supervise the maintenance of equipment and facilities

• Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
• Manage a project

• Contribute to evaluating, developing and promoting services
• Operate plant to maintain the quality of pool water
• Contribute to change through implementing and reviewing strategy and policy
• Sell Products and Services to Customers in Face-to-Face Settings
• Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
• Plan and organise services
• Promote the conservation of the environment

The Key Skills required for this framework are:

• Application of Number Level 2
• Communication Level 2

The Technical Certificate consists of the following elements
